Device retirement and secure disposal
Send retired company devices to ShiplyTech for secure disposal, straight from the employee or from storage.
Two ways in
- Disposal order: the employee ships the device straight to ShiplyTech for secure disposal.
- From storage: your team requests disposal of a device already in the ShiplyTech warehouse. The request includes a confirmation step.
Peripherals boxes are not available on disposal orders.
What the workflow includes
- ShiplyTech receives the device.
- Staff manually check enrollment and Activation Lock where applicable, and follow up if the device is still enrolled.
- The device is wiped with BitRaser and destroyed.
- The destruction record is kept with the device record in your portal.
The honest limits
ShiplyTech has no access to your MDM, Apple Business Manager or Autopilot and cannot release or unlock a device. Your team confirms devices are released and unlocked before they ship.
No wipe method can be guaranteed against every recovery technique. Devices returned to your own office are handled by your team.
Storage before disposal
Devices sent for disposal have a 30-day fee-free period after receipt. After that, storage is $8 per device per month.
